Braves 8/16
Holy cow Braves fans what a week. After sucking hard to end July, these Braves really know how to beat up on the hapless Marlins, sweeping the series to start the week. Going against the Marlins pitchers is a sure fire way to give the impression your hitters can actually hit! In the three games the Braves racked up 28 runs. UFFFDAaah!
Next up came the Cubs and at first glance it was HOLY COW SWEEP THE CUBS? But on closer examination, the Cubs were running a two man rotation for the week and the Starters were dog tired and for some reason just did not have the stamina to go toe to toe with the Braves.
Finally to finish the week off, the Braves hit the Cards, and folded like the house of cards the Braves are. Dropped the game oh to five. Bud Smith came in and needed to pitch perfect cause the offence was back to their odiferous offensive ways and he ended up with his third loss on the season.
