Atlanta's Aaron Sanchez has suddenly taken a 1 base lead as we start the sprint for home. The August report showed Sanchez in 4th place with 48 stolen bases. He swiped 13 over the last month while last month's leader, Ryan Freel stole only 5 bases in the last month to fall into a tie with Victorino for 3rd. Victorino falls from second place, 1 base off the lead in August to a tie for 3rd with Freel. Victorino did anage to close the gap with Freel but couldn't keep up with Sanchez and Rolen as they surged up the list. Rolen moved up from 3rd place to 2nd with 11 stolen bases during August. This sets up a crazy final month as it looks like a 4 way sprint to the finish. Can Sanchez keep last months pace to close the deal or will Scott Rolen steal it in the final days and shock Ryan Freel who seemed to have the race under control for most of the season. Can Freel get back on track to take the stolen base crown that he seemed hell bent to win since opening day?
