I had money to burn, even when I was rebuilding I couldn’t ever get bad enough to get better than the 6th overall pick. I’ve got a lot of prospects close but not quite ready and I’m tired of losing. Worst case scenario I don’t compete and maybe I can move some of the guys to a contender because they all signed one year deals outside of the few I view as long term assets. Best case scenario I catch lightning in a bottle. What’s to get?

Nearly most of those guys have close to zero value. I’ve seen you hold onto aging vets for an asking price that was pretty ridiculous. Can’t wait to see what you’ll want for your 38 year olds as you tread water!
Your FI is also 40. Your payroll is nearly $107.5M. You will lose quite a bit money all while costing yourself a high end pick. It’s about as pointless as it gets, but good luck with that approach.
