It is that time of year again when all is right in the world and the sweet sound of some hard wood hitting some balls is in the air again.
Right out the gate Pedro goes down in pain and we will not see him pitch again until May. Ryan Rupe hyper extended his elbow, and while he can still pitch he doubtfully will be pitching at 100%
Old man Smoltz went 2 and 1 for the week, and the countdown is on for him to break Maddux’ record. Smoltz needs four more wins to tie, and five to break.
The bats in Atlanta seem to have no thunder, or lightning to start the season. With the power and speed on this team on would think they would be better than 11th in dingers and way better then 7th in steals. Not surprising how soft they started with the way the bats are working.
