18 yo OF Jason Heywood says he is ready for The Show. His agent reportedly drew a proverbial red line by demanding a promotion or trade for the young prospect, and was promptly laughed off the line.
Heywood has been the subject of trade rumors recently as the team has been looking for next year starters but this is the first time he has been vocal about wanting to be on a different team or expressing that he thinks he is ready to be promoted.
It appears that the Pirates have informally accepted his trade demand because if they aren't promoting Fowler and T then there is no chance Heywood will be called up before 09, probably 2010.
