Braves 6/8
Braves fans, going into the week, for the season they have a record of 30 and 24. Currently the East Leading Phillies were 45 and 9. On the week the Braves went six and 1, bringing their record to 36 and 25 and the Phillies went three and four climbing to 48 and 13. leaving the Braves 12 games behind.
The week started great with pounding the Phillies eight to one, followed by a sweep of PIT in a three game series that included the 1 – 0 gem with Rupe going into the 7th, and Valverde coming on to get his 12th save of the season. They dropped game one against the cards and then followed up with two wins to finish the week.
The opening game, the Braves pounded 14 hits to get the eight runs, while Pedro et all held the Phillies to just 3 hits.
