Today we look at the only metric that anyone cares about, the number of rings a team has. All time Yankees and Whie Sox have 25 appearances in the Great Fall Classic out of the total 51 possible with grabbing a ring 14 of those times. Seems like those two franchises just PAWNED the rest of the AL prior to the modern era starting in 1980. Since 1980 they have 11 of the 27 appearances with 7 of the wins. While dominating, not at the rate they had been as from 56 to 80 they were in 14 of those 24 years.
Over in the NL while the Braves made it to 9 out of the 27 years since the start of the Modern Era, no one has ever come close to the feet San Fran Achieved with 7 straight WS appearances.
The Braves have the most wins also with 6 since 1980. Behind the Braves are the White Sox with 4 rings since 1980. Minnesota won three straight during the Modern era which is the record no matter what the era.
The sad faces of the Modern Era are the Angels with five tries and losing each and every series.
