Braves 7/20
Braves fans, going into the week, for the season they have a record of 51 and 29. Currently the East Leading Phillies were 64 and 16. On the week the Braves went six and two, bringing their record to 57 and 31 and the Phillies went six and two climbing to 70 and 18. leaving the Braves 13 games behind.
Games one and two had our beloved Braves facing off vs the Reds, and in both games the Braves emerged victorious.
Next up we find the heroric Braves out in Arizona and again the bats took the night off as the DBacks blanked the Braves 2 nuttin. Game two, the Braves won 3 oh with Rupe getting his 15th win, and Valverde came on to close it out. Game three was much of the same as game one with the Brave bats slumbering again as Az’s Lara and relievers held the Braves to 6 hits and no runs. Pedro was the hard luck looooozer going 8 and only giving up a run.
Game 6 of the week featured Houston coming to Folton County stadium and finally the Bats woke up because the pitching was leaky, as the Braves won nine to six. The following day, Tuesday the 19th the Braves picked up another win against the same Astros five to three.
To round out the week was the 2rd game of the series against the Astros and the Braves picked that one up eight to one with Rupe going the distance for his 16th win.
