Braves 8/23
Braves fans, going into the week, for the season they have a record of 75 and 37. Currently the East Leading Phillies were 88 and 24. On the week the Braves went four and three, bringing their record to 79 and 40 and the Phillies went four and three climbing to 92 and 27. leaving the Braves 13 games behind.
With three games this past week against the Phillies they Braves had a real chance to make some ground, but instean they dropped two of the three against them and for the week posted the same four and three record so they stay at the almost iconic 13 games back as they keep finding themselves to be. Heck the Phillies almost swept the series if it wasn’t for the extra inning heroics in the second game that brought home at least a win.
Time has basically run out on the Braves to mount a challenge.
