Braves 8/31
Braves fans, going into the week, for the season they have a record of 79 and 40. Currently the East Leading Phillies were 92 and 27. On the week the Braves went six and two, bringing their record to 85 and 42 and the Phillies went six and two climbing to 98 and 29. leaving the Braves 13 games behind.
Losing the game to the Cards was one thing, but dropping one to the lowly Mets. Guess the Braves just like the lucky 13 as that again was how many back they are of the Phillies. With August behind us the Braves head into September needing 15 win for their twenty third straight 100 win season. That has got to be some kind of record.
At least the Braves did not stumble when playing the Reds to close out the week. They scored five in each game and that was way more than enough each time for the win.
