Braves fans, going into the week, for the season they have a record of 85 and 42. Currently the East Leading Phillies were 98 and 29. On the week the Braves went five and one, bringing their record to 90 and 43 and the Phillies went four and two climbing to 102 and 31. leaving the Braves 12 games behind.
Whoa, watch out baseball peeps, the Braves cut a game into the Philly lead. It’s down to just a dozen with less than a month to play. I bet all of Philly is awaiting the inevitable collapse of the team… NOT.
After splitting the first two games of the week with the DBacks, the Baves then took two from the Senators, then followed up with a three game sweep of the Astros.
With 21 games to go, the Braves need 10 more wins for 100 on the season.
