Braves 10/7
Welp Braves fans, just like that the post season is over. After winning 109 games they were unceremoniously bounced from the playoff as the road team even though they had 10 more wins than the DBacks.
Game 1 was a pitching duel in Arizona where the Dbacks held the Braves to 1 run, and Pedro while pretty damn good, gave up 2 runs for the loss, putting the Braves in a early oh to 1 series deficit.
Game 2 had Braves ace of the year take the mound against Chan Ho Park and Rupe went down injured in the 4th inning, and the DBacks never looked back cruising to an easy 6 to 1 win, putting the Braves down oh two on the series.
Game 3 the Braves came to life at home, and Bud Smith got the win. Az jumped out to an early two not then the Braves Bats finally came alive in the 4th inning, scoring runs in the 4th, tying the game in the 5th, going ahead for good in the 6th and then piling on the lead in the 8th allowing the Braves to come away with a 7 to 2 win, bringing them back into the series, but still down 1 game to 2.
Game 4 Had Pedro on the mound again, and this time with the help of the Braves bats, he was able to get the win with the Braves winning 5 to 3, and tying the series back up.
Game 5 had old man Smoltz starting since Rupe is injured and… the Dbacks broke it open in the 5th and never looked back. Season over.
