Yup. I see this as Morneau for Suarez, Teheran and the pick, which was what I was looking for in our potential 3-way. Got to move some salary and extra relievers in the process so why not.

Yah, Morneau is gonna be expensive to resign and why do that when I'm rebuilding. He'll be in his mid-30s by the time I can compete again. Might as well tank hard.

I don't get the rush from Pitt side, especially with Morneau potentially asking for 20mil. Josh has seemed to rush any rebuild...especially last time where it fell apart within a season. This one is set up better, but there's certainly risk with the Morneau contract. Gotta be patient when rebuilding here. |
