Owner and everything else, Jamieson has made a flurry of changes to address the growing concern over late inning bullpen issues.
Jason Middlebrook has been demoted to AAA and the first Killer B, MR Tony Barnette has been called up and slotted in to the #3 bullpen slot, Howry falls to the #4 option after posting an early season 7.27 ERA.
Dontrelle Willis has been sent to AAA and Franklyn German has been called up. Penny has been demoted to the bullpen and German has been placed in the #3 rotation spot. Hopefully his AAA time helped him figure things out and we can get a few quality starts out of him before Ascencio comes back.
Mattes will move to the #1 option out of the pen with Villareal moving to the second spot. CJ Wilson will become the fulltime closer to see if his 2.13 ERA can carry over to the high pressure situations. Mantei will be responsible for getting games to CJ Wilson.
These moves hope to improve the rate at which we hold onto leads late in the game.
