The 4th place floor that the Pirates set for 2009, ended up being a ceiling and one the team is happy to have reached after a disastrous first half.

You will feel the anticipation for 2010 explode after the WS, but for now fans are looking for a digestible offseason plan.

Many fans feel that it will be a do nothing off season but they have been surprised before. Most experts are inclined to think that the 2010-11 offseason will be more critical as the Pirates have tens of millions falling off the payroll after the season.

While we wait, go NL!
