Holy Cow Braves fans, hold onto your socks, but get ready for Vlad the Impaler coming to town. In a surprise trade with the Cards Vlad was got for basically peanuts and will take over first Base from Kevin Barker, and take clean up hitting duties away from Shawn Green.
Adding Vlad to the lineup hopefully pushes the Braves into a top 10 offence. A career 310 hitting average and power to send 30 plus dingers a year, he should be a huge boast to the Braves. He and Jennings should give the Braves more umph than they had with Rabe in left and Barker at first last year.
Vlad is not a let down on the basepaths over Barker, and Jennings is blazing fast so the Braves should be even more deadly on the basepaths also.
