The 2011 Rockies the team that never was
Wow, this game has been a real kick in the ass so far. Was one of the top pitching staff in the league and after acquiring my favorite baseball player of all time in David Wright I thought with the third highest payroll I would have a chance to at least have some fun and finish over 500.
Somehow, upon the first we find ourselves 3 and 10 completely broken. How did all of my pitchers all of a sudden forget how to pitch. We open the first game against the San Francisco Giants get our asses, beat 8 to 1. Liriano had 7 earned runs like seriously wtf. The next game my other ace Marcum gave up 4 ER with only 4ks. What losers.
Our first win came in an odd game where Jose Reyes played hero with a big homer and Ichiros old ass was caught stealing again. Next up we had the Phillies. I guess maybe I’m being a bit hard on my team playing SF Phi LAD and STL to open the year but god damn did that hurt
Meanwhile Garret Atkins who I didn’t trade a third rounder for has 3 homers and .995 ops! Fuck
Now that I learned a few more lessons and have lost trades to stool and break I think it’s time to rebuild and move forward! But in
