C/A has the best percentages in my experience I think it's B/A that has the best combo of attempts and percentage...C/A guys don't steal that much. They steal 40+ when you turn their meters up and lose the least % |

I feel like some of these guys need to be boosted from E speed. this is the era of dont steal baseball. doesnt mean they are slow. maybe boost speed a lil and lower stealing ability a lot. its very flawed. so many A guys. were they good at stealing just cause they never stole? so you wanna make base stealers out of guys that didn't steal bases. logical I'm not saying make em b ..but maybe bump some to D or C and out the ability down to c or d. You are over analyzing it |

it's less about what letter they are and more of "what combination of speed and stealing ability will produce the result closest to this person IRL" which doesn't always look accurate until you really know the stealing tendencies. I also think Mark’s about 10 years too late on this…the real dead period for SBs was like 2005-2015 I've been saying this is an issue privately to both Chris and Brian for seasons with tons of E - A guyz |

Guess I have a better understanding of one of the many flaws of the draft program. You don’t though, you’re assuming you know how the speed works but have shown you don’t. E/A is the lowest steal ratio, and guys that consistently steal 3-5 a year and only get caught once are made that way because that’s how it works. |

They steal 1-2 times a year, at best, and are succesful on 75-80% of them. Depending on the player (centerfielder, or young athletic guy in minors), I might boost to D or even C speed. I know some managers IRL don't have green |

Otherwise, yes, maybe a tweak to the program can be that if you have E speed, cannot have higher than C stealing, just to weed out some of the A's

Reminder that I tweak jersey numbers, character ratings, fielding ratings, speed/stealing, and injury ratings (I never go from Normal to Prone, but only 2-3 players get Durable) as players are drafted, so think of the pool is an incomplete scouting report and see what the changes are as they are drafted. I only do this for the first rounders. second rounders if I'm feeling spicy.
