June 16 Atlanta in Toronto, with Bud Smith on Mount going against Davis for the Blue Jays. Bud Smith went the distance however he did allow three runs. With the wind Bud improved to 10 and three on the season. Renteria is the only one to smack one out, however two were on making a three run shot in the ninth inning. Reyes, Sanchez, Jones, Jennings, and Renteria all had stolen bases. On the night, the Braves were six out of seven swiping bases from the Blue Jays.
June 18 Atlanta travel to Miami. Harden took the mound for the Braves going against Web for the Marlins. The Marlins taking harden for two runs in the bottom of the second. The Braves struck back in the top of the fourth scoring four runs and that was all the scoring of the game. Harden picked up to improve the season and Valveri came in in the ninth to close it out for his 20th. The highlight of the game was Kiffness having three stolen bases.

It was a hell of a pitching and even though he went eight innings got no decision with Bud Smith. This one went into the 10th inning and that’s where the Braves broke it open to win 6 to 3 over the Marlins. it was in the top of the ninth at the Braves scored their third run to tie it up and send it into extra innings. Varity came on and got the win win got the win.
June 23, Atlanta in New York taking on the Mets. Harden again on the mound for the Braves going against corn Julio for the Mets. The Braves scored a run in the top of the first and that’s how it stayed till the top of the ninth when they attacked on three insurance runs and it was a good thing that they scored again because the Mets Scored in the bottom of the ninth. Harden got the win to improve 12 and four on the season. Sanchez, Jennings, and Jones all had stolen bases.
June 24, Atlanta still in New York with Alvarez on the mound going against Perez for the Mets. Who has been sizzling this season with a sub 2.50 ERA had a bad game. The Braves tagged them for one in the top of the first, then three more in the top of the seventh and then the wheels came off in the eighth where between Perez and Dickie they gave up six runs to allow Atlanta to run away with the game. Alvarez got the win for the Braves improving to eight and six on the season. The Braves had no stolen no Home runs, however, Reyes and Jennings both had stolen bases.
June 25, the Cubs came to Atlanta. This was a pitching duel between Ruppe and Kennedy for the Cubs. The Cubs struck first and the top of the first and then in the bottom of the ninth the braves tied up. In the bottom of the 12th, the Braves scored With one out to end the game. Kess and Jennings both had stolen bases in the game. 61,722 fans came out to Atlanta County Stadium to see the Braves barely beat the Cubs game where there was only three combined runs across the plate .
June 27 Chicago still taking on the Braves in Atlanta. If the previous game that went 12 innings that were only three run scored was a set up. This was the pitching masterpiece. For the Cubs was facing Myers for the Braves. The Braves scored a single run in the top of the second. Came on in the ninth inning and the Braves didn’t even bat the final score. Was one versus nothing. Myers improved five and seven with the wind and Valverde got his 21st of the year. 58,667 fans came out to Atlanta Folden county Stadium to see this full pitching dual
June 28 Atlanta headed to Arizona to take on the Diamondbacks. Rich Harden took the mount for the Braves and he threw a complete game shut out to improve to 13 and four on the season. Reyes had two stolen bases to go along with a stolen base from kittens, Jennings, sedan, and Renteria. Sedan, Renteria, and Reyes all had to San bases. All total the Braves had eight stolen bases in nine tries.
June 30 one more game with the Braves taking on Arizona and Arizona. The Diamondbacks starter Gary only made it to innings before he was pulled. Ryan Ruppe for the Braves pitched all nine innings for the Braves got the win with the complete game shut out. With that he improved to 12 and three on the season. Sanchez hit a homer in the first inning and that was all the run sport that Rupe needed for today’s game. Raz got his first stolen season.
With all that, even though the Braves are playing well, they are still trailing the Phillies. Looks like at best a WC finish.
