Breaking News Friday, 9/8/2012 Wednesday 9/4/2012: Los Angeles (A)'s Blackmon wins Player of the Week award It's the 5th time that the American League Player of the Week award goes to Los Angeles (A)'s leftfielder Charlie Blackmon. Blackmon helped his team with an average of .500 and 7 RBI in 26 at bats. Charlie is hitting .303 this year, with 158 hits in 522 at bats. He has driven in 98 runs, slugging .561. He's 5th in the American League in RBIs and 4th in homeruns! The National League's best player of the week was Chicago (N)'s Mitch Moreland, who wins the award for the 3rd time in his career. Mitch went 14 for 26 (.538), while hitting 2 HR and collecting 15 RBI. He got at least one hit each game this week and is on a 14 game hitting streak right now. Doctors examined him after the game and diagnosed a Torn Rib Cage Muscle which will require surgery. Hunter has hit 6 taters this year while batting .217. sorry, dont see a way around it, but this will be a long off season. Heading to spain Saturday, then fly into Daytona Thursday, for a festival and wont be home till monday to set up the draft

sorry, dont see a way around it, but this will be a long off season. Heading to spain Saturday, then fly into Daytona Thursday, for a festival and wont be home till monday to set up the draft Enjoy the vacation. People can live with a longer off season. It's not going to kill them.
