Holy cow Braves fans, the Braves have done it again, doing what only the Braves have done before. They have stolen over 400 bases in one season.
The Braves have three base stealers in the top seven, sadley Cedeno has fallen off this year after having 60+ steals in 6 of the previous 7 seasons. He will need 14 steals over the final week to get to 60 this season.

2 E. Andrus (SFG) 71
2 D. Strange-Gordon (CHN) 71
4 A. Sanchez (ATL) 70
5 B. Zobrist (MIA) 65
6 R. Weeks (LAN) 61
7 B. Gardner (CIN) 60
7 D. Jennings (ATL) 60
Last season they were pretty proficient also though it was three in the top 10, but as a team they only had 385.

The first time a team had over 400 steals in a season was in 2010 the Braves with 410 total. The 2012 Braves look to be poised to smash the record. That year the Braves had three of the top 5 base stelers in the NL.

The quest for 400 was actually inspired by the Phillies as they set the all time steal record of 378 in 2006. In spot checking, prior to that season it looked like the Braves had held the previous record with 350ish one season but I forget what season. In 2006 the Phillies had 3 base runners in the top 7

Really looking forward to 2013 when there will be even more speed on the base paths for the Braves
