April 26, Atlanta headed to Colorado to take on the Rockies. Pardon took them out for the Braves and never left gave up to runs on four hits. With the wind he improved a 40 on the season. Braves bats were alive. they scored 10 runs on 16 hits And got one free base from Colorado pitcher Worley. Arrow had two runs and Renteria added another one for three for the game for the Braves that also had one. Reyes, Lee, Lise and Jennings all had stolen bases. Lawless and Jennings both had two apiece as the Braves went six for seven stealing bases for the game .
April 27, game two of the 6 Game Rd. series this week. Bud Smith took them out for the Braves never left giving up three runs in nine innings to collect his third win on the season. The Braves bats were alive. Collecting runs on 13 hits And six walks. Gunar, and Lee both had home runs. Reyes, Lee, and Jones had stolen bases. Lee had two on the game to have 11 for the season. The Braves won this one in seven runs.
April 28, third game of the Colorado series and the Braves looking for a sweep. Wood was on the mound for the Braves and he didn’t pitch up very good game. He still picked up his fourth win of the season. He gave up five runs in six and the third and he pitched. Myers came on for the last two and two allowed three hits but no runs. Jennings, Lee, and Rory all had home runs in the game. Reyes had two stolen bases to go along with Kipnis and Renteria. Renteria actually had two stolen bases too. The Braves completed the sweep of the Rockies.
April 29 Atlanta travel to San Francisco for fourth game of the 6 Game Rd. trip this week. Alvarez was on the mound for the Braves and he’s pitched spectacularly going eight innings and only allowing a run that was not earned. Braves did the smart thing and brought in Val Verde and the bottom is close it out and he just did not have his stuff tonight folks. He gave up to early runs in the 2/3 inning that he managed to make it and the Giants walked out of here with a 3 to 2 win at home. Sanchez had a homer in the third inning. Kiffness and Adam both had stolen bases.
April 30 the last day of the month and Atlanta trying to get even with the San Francisco in this three game series after dropping the first game. Rupe was on the mount for the Braves and he pitched OK but three runs and nine innings. He was facing came for San Francisco who also allowed three runs and nine innings only two of them earned. This one was destined to go into extra innings. And 13 innings were all scoreless and finally the Braves scored a run in the top of the 14th and for the Braves of the 14th to get the win. Jen is the one that spark it with a solo shot with nobody on it in the top of the 14th inning. Sanchez also had a solo shot in the second inning. Reyes and Lee had stone bases. Lee had to to bring them to 13 on the season. Braves win.
May 1, the last game of the week with Atlanta still in San Francisco. This was a pitching duel. Harden was facing Santana. Harden went Aiden third innings and gave up a run so Val Verde was brought in to finish off the last two hours and tonight he was spectacular Him down seven pitches to get a spit of the season. With the win Harding group to five and oh on the season. On the season now, the Braves are four and two against the Giants. For the week, the Braves went five and one with all six games on the road.
