Tuesday 5/28/2013: Pittsburgh's Brazell severely injured
PITTSBURGH - Pittsburgh's designated hitter Craig Brazell will miss the rest of the season. He injured himself running the bases in the game between Pittsburgh and Milwaukee. The injury didn't seem to be serious the moment it happened. But suddenly Brazell collapsed in pain and had to be carried off the field. Pittsburgh wasted no time and rushed him to an hospital. Team officials were informed later that Brazell had suffered a Broken Ankle. This year Brazell drove in 15 and scored 10 runs while batting .209 with 5 bombs.

DETROIT - Barry Zito had some fun again. Detroit hitters did not. Baltimore's lefty gave up just 2 hits in his 1st shutout of the season. He now has 26 career shutouts in 347 games started. Zito (4-5) struck out 5 and walked 2, throwing 68 of 116 pitches for strikes. 'I was able to keep´em off balance. That certainly helped.'
