July 1, Pittsburgh Pirates in town to take on the Atlanta Braves. Bud Smith took them out for the Braves pitch nine strong innings only allowing to earned runs. With the win, he improves to 14 and two on the season and his ERA jumped up just slightly to 1.72. This game got out of hand early. The Braves scored one in the bottom of the fourth the Pirates tied up in the top of the fifth however, the Braves just pounded the Pirates and the bottom of the fifth with seven runs and cruise to an easy victory out scoring the Pirates by eight runs by scoring 10 runs on 11 hits. Jennings, Rob, and Sanchez all had home runs in this game. Reyes and Lee had stolen bases for the Braves. 63,651 fans came out to Atlanta Fulton County Stadium tonight to watch the Braves dominate the Pirates.
June 4, the Fourth of July special and Atlanta traveled to New York to take on the Mets. This game did not have the fireworks of the bats, but it had the fireworks of two pictures that were amazing. Alvarez for the Braves went 7 2/3 innings only allowing four hits before eggs in the game. The Braves scored one run and the top of the fifth so he was the hook for the win and he got it improving his record to 10 and five on the season and lowering his ERA to 3.22. Valde came on to pitch the ninth inning to pick up his 26th of the season. New York bats did not bail out their pitching as the Braves got one run on six hits compared to New York’s zero on four. Sanchez, Lee, canis, and Jones had stolen bases.
July 5, another game with the Atlanta Braves in New York to take on the Mets. Rich Harden took them out for the Braves and never looked back getting another complete game shut out. The win improves 13 and two on the season and lowered his ERA to 1.30. The Braves bats were not stellar however they managed to get a run in the top of the fifth and a run in the top of the seventh and with the way Rich was pitching that was enough. Reyes, Lee, Kim, and Call had stolen bases. Canis scored both runs for the Braves.
July 6, the Atlanta Braves going for the sweep of the New York Mets. After not scoring any runs in the first two games the Mets finally did score 2 runs in this game however it proved to not be enough. Bud Smith was on the mount for the Braves he went eight innings, allowing those to earn runs however, as he exited the Braves were up 3 to 2 and he improved on the season. Variety of course came on for the ninth inning to get his 27th save.
July 9 the San Diego Padres came into Atlanta to take on the Braves. Myers was on the mound for the Braves and he did not pitch particularly well giving up six runs in six innings. He did get the win to improve the 10 and six on the season. Variety came on late to get us 28. Thankfully the Braves bats bailed out the piss poor pitching performance by Myers. Guerrero was the only brave to hit a Homerun. Lise, Jennings, Lee, Adams had six stolen bases combined. 63,034 fans came out to Atlanta Fulton county Stadium to see the Braves eat by the Padres tonight .

This one again was a pitching duel and Harden Aiden and 2/3 innings not giving up hey Ron, however this game was Destin for extra innings. And the bottom of the 10th the Braves scored a run with nobody out to win the game. The Braves squandered many opportunities having eight hits in the game. Reyes had two stolen bases and Sanchez had one in the game. 61,099 fans came out to Fulton County Stadium to see this amazing pitching duel between Atlanta and San Diego.
July 11, in town to take on the Chicago Cubs in Chicago. But Smith got the start for the Braves went seven innings allowed three runs, but that was good enough to pick up the win and improved to 16 and two on the season. His ERA went up a little bit to 1.85 on the season. Belli came on pitch the last one and 2/3 innings and pick up his 29th. Braves bats were active collecting six runs on 12 hits. Lise was the only one to get a stolen base and there were no home runs.
July 12, Atlanta still in town to take on the Chicago Cubs. This one was again a pitching duel going nine innings and only one run was scored by the Braves and the top of the second. One of Jennings two stolen bases resulted in him crossing home plate in the second inning and that was the winning run and Jones was the one to hit a hit the single that drove him in.
July 13, the Braves still in Chicago taking on the Cubs. This was game three of the series and the Braves were going for the sweep. Wood was on the mound and he went six innings only allowing one earned however the Cubs got two off of them because of an error by the catcher Adams. Thankfully, the Braves batters bailed him out scoring one in the top of the fourth and two in the top of the sixth. Belli came in to close out. The end of the game is 31st of the season right before the All-Star break.
