Well, opening day was upon a Braves fans as Milwaukee came to town to take on the Braves. This one was pitching duel from the get-go. Bud Smith was on the Mom for the Braves. He went the distance, only allowing two hits and one walk as he gave up one ear run in the nine innings that he pitched, the Braves managed to score the bottom of the first one in the bottom of the ninth. The Braves tried to set themselves up numerous time to score. Some runs as Reyes, Jones, Jennings, Adams with two, gentry, Lise, and Harrison all had stolen bases . Only Adams was thrown out by a Milwaukee catcher. For the game the Braves had eight stolen bases on nine attempts. Not really sure how the Braves scored one of their runs as they only had one RBI. Milwaukee fielders did not help Kazmir as they gave five errors . Both Kazmers were earned. 64,945 fans came out to Atlanta Fulton County Stadium tonight to see the Braves defeat the Brewers.
Game two of the season again the Brewers in town taking on the Braves Harden was on the mound for the Braves. He won eight innings, allowing one earned run. Varity came on to get his first of the season. Jones had two, had one kitten had one and Lise had two stolen bases for the Braves. Nobody was thrown out so the Braves went 646. The Braves scored four this one only one run. 63,010 fans came out to Atlanta Fulton County Stadium to see the Braves beat the Brewers.
Game three of the Brewers series in Atlanta this one went into extra innings as Gilles Lanny was the hard luck pitcher for the Braves allowing three earned run eight innings. The Braves bats scored three runs, but Gore gave up three in the second and after nine, it was all tied up 33 bottom of the 11th. The Braves punched the Brewers ticket and they went on to, sweep the Brewers to start the season. 61,061 fans came out to Atlanta Fulton county Stadium to see the Braves win.
April 11, the Braves taking on the Phillies in Philadelphia. Bud Smith got the start for the Braves. He won eight innings didn’t allow a single run. The Braves basketball were alive for change six runs on 11 hits. Jones had two, and had one stolen bases as the Braves were a pry three of, seven and stealing against Philadelphia’s ruins. The Atlanta got the win and got out of Philadelphia.
April 13, Atlanta and town to take on the Reds. Gore got to start for the Braves when 830 inning is not allowing any runs and Varity came on in the ninth to pick up his second of the season. April 14, Atlanta taking on the Reds again. Wood got to start for the Braves. He won nine innings only allowing one earned run. Jennings finally had a home run for the Braves a two run shot and the fifth inning. Reyes, Jones with two, gentry with two, Lise, and Harrison with two all had stolen bases in the game. The Braves won 848 stolen bases on the game.
April 15 Braves still in Cincinnati taking on the Reds. Alvarez got the start for the Braves win eight innings didn’t allow a single run. Valverde came in the ninth and even though he gave up a run still got his third sale of the season. Braves run. Reyes, Jones, and gentry all had stolen bases of the game.
April 16, Braves going for boardgame sweep over the Reds. Bud Smith was on the mound for the Braves picked up his third win of the season. He is now three and oh with the 0.35 ERA. Braves bats scored two runs on six hits, but since, got a complete game shut out that was enough. Reyes had two Jones had one gentry had one and Lise had another one as the praise win 545 on stolen bases in the game.
