I'm going to be doing some xmas shopping in the AM and doing some chores around the house all day, so I need a favor:
Can someone go to baseball-reference.com and calculate the MLB-wide total statistics for:
At Bats Hits Doubles Triples Home Runs Hit By Pitches Strikeouts
You will have to add up AL AND NL stats and in order to do so and given the different number of teams each season, calculate the 1960, 1961 and 1962 average for each statistic. Meaning if there are 20,000 hits in 1960, 21,000 hits in 1961 and 22,000 hits in 1962, you will be giving me 21,000 as the number to shoot for in the game. I need new numbers so that the simulation runs reasonably realistic this season. We will be doing it again in 1962 since we'll have 2 more teams and we should be doing this every 3 seasons or so to ensure statistics are, again, reasonably realistic. OCD FTW
First to post gets 10 points Additional post to verify first poster's numbers gets 5 points
Shale, please refrain---you help too much already! Take some time off! =)

Here are the three year averages:
AB: 97,245 H: 25,007 D: 3,910 T: 755 HR: 2,620 (rounded up) HBP: 590 K: 15,110
This was actually really easy thanks to Baseball-Reference.
