ST. LOUIS - St. Louis' left-hander Gio Gonzalez is clearly one of the best pitchers in the game. Texas found out the hard way, getting just 2 hits. Gonzalez (12-3) struck out 8 and walked none, throwing 54 of 85 pitches for strikes. 'Today I just felt fine. I had a good feeling while warming up.' The American League Player of the Week award goes to Justin Morneau, New York (A)'s starting first baseman. Justin went 13 for 29 (.448), while hitting 4 HR and collecting 26 RBI. He now has homered in 3 consecutive games as well! The Player of the Week award in the National League goes to San Diego's Andrew McCutchen this time, as the centerfielder displayed the best offensive perfomance in his league. Andrew was on fire, hitting .500 with 3 HR and 6 RBI.

ARIZONA - Arizona's southpaw Andrew Heaney is a great pitcher. And he once again showed his stuff, blanking Houston on just one hit. It's his 1st shutout this season, and the 2nd time he has done it in his career. The bid for a no-hitter was broken up when Andy Parrino singled with two outs in the 9th inning.
