Adrian Gonzalez from San Francisco wins his 7th Player of the Week award for putting up the best numbers this week in the National League. Adrian pounded opposing pitchers, hitting .567 with 7 HR and 20 RBI while slugging 1.300. Adrian managed to drive in at least one run in every game he played this week.

His best year so far was 2012 where he hit .317 with 31 homeruns and 108 RBI. 'My firends always told me that I will do it one day. I never believed it. Good that I was wrong!' He hit a three run homerun in the 7th off Tony Cingrani for number 2000.

CHICAGO (A) - Chicago (A)'s right-hander Kyle Hendricks is a great pitcher. And he once again showed his stuff, blanking Houston on just one hit. It's his 1st shutout this season, and the 5th time he has done it in his career. 'Pitching a great game is always a good thing. And it doesn't get much better than today.' Hendricks (2-1) was overpowering, fanning 11 while walking none, throwing 122 pitches. Todd Frazier helped Hendricks at the plate, he went 1 for 3, hitting a homerun. Chicago (A) improved its record to 9-5, scoring 3 runs on 12 hits.
