A pitch from Anthony DeSclafani in the 1st inning left his bat for a solo homerun, landing 368 feet from home plate in left field. He collected singles in the 2nd inning , in the 3rd (two RBIs) , in the 4th (two RBIs) , in the 5th inning (two RBIs) and in the 7th inning . Alex scored 3 runs, and he collected 7 RBI as well! He is hitting .274 this season, with 10 HR and 32 RBI. Boston improved its record to 15-27, scoring 23 runs on 17 hits.
Monday 5/15/2017: Baltimore's Snell out for 6 weeks
BALTIMORE - Baltimore is without its lefty Blake Snell for at least 6 weeks. He injured himself while throwing a pitch to Gregory Polanco in a game against Oakland. His face showed signs of pain immediately after the ball left his hand. Doctors examined him after the game and diagnosed a Strained Tricep Muscle which will require surgery. In 8 starts this year Blake struck out 38 batters in 43 innings of work. His ERA is 5.65, his record 1-5.
Monday 5/15/2017: Zimmerman (CLE) and McCutchen (SDG) win P.O.W. award
