In light of what has happened recently, I will now have a new thread that shows if anyone is currently over the 150 point cap, and if anyone happens to be close to the cap.
Also, new rule on point spending for those over the cap.
If a team's point total goes over 150 at any time, there will be a 1 week period to get under the cap. If after 7 days, those points are not spent, Chris will spend the points himself.
Hopefully this gets people to spend points more promptly.
I will update this regularly because apparently, not enough people look at the spreadsheet enough.
Teams over Cap
Washington Senators (150)
Teams close to the Cap with 130+ Points
Detroit Tigers (131)
Kansas City Athletics (135)
Los Angeles Dodgers (134)
If you guys won't look at spreadsheet enough, hopefully this helps to get people close to or over the cap to spend some points.

Shale, can you simplify rules to consolidate the 3 sim (in-season) and 1 week (off-season) rules into just one 1 week stipulation? 3 sims is practically a week anyway. Also, change it so that I will spend the points for them instead of losing the points. Otherwise, everything is OK.

+5 for the beginning of season stuff I'm about to do.  +5 for what I just did this time, I think--there were 10 points pre-flip out of 15 total. I'm thinking I'll claim all 15 after OD from now on, to keep it simple. , I'm confused here...are you claiming 5 points here? 10? 15? I'll add your offseason stuff though for now NT: 139 pts |

I'm not crystal clear either. I got 10 over Xmas after the end of the season... Then the total reward for my duties increased to 15. So I'm due 5, or 0. Chris?

I always thought that actual FA offers had to be made in each sim just to get the points each time, whether it's a legit FA offer or a random MLC to a nobody. Good to know that simply PM'ing Chris that I have no offers for the given sim works too instead of having to waste time doing random MLC's to people I don't need. It would probably be good for CSCommish to explicitly state this in either the Free Agency section of the Constitution or in the rewards point thread. |

I'll clarify that a no-export PM is OK for during the season but it is a pain to do so during FA (I would have to find a scrub and bid a MLC each time).
In this case, I forgot to export for the last sim, Mark should get one extra point.
From this point, however, no more no-export PM's during FA --- I'll update Constitution.

I agree. Okay for regular sims, but shouldn't be allowed for FA sims.

I guess my question to make what's already happened perfectly clear is: am I supposed to get 10 or 15 points for the end-of-season stuff and the opening day stuff? The reason this is confusing is that the value changed in between those points in time. |
