I can see why it seems unfair, I would like to hash out a hard rule so that I can consistency enforce this. I don't want this to blow up like a GABL thread.

I don't remember the other situation, but I think we have a rule to handle my situation. As of now, he'll accept both offers as a SP and MR. I technically should have offered him as a MR, as that is where he has played the most this year. It just made me mad that he made me start him twice before he gave me that option, and I knew I could easily start him 2-3 more times to follow our rule of offering as a guy as a SP that has more starts than MR appearances. That's the rule, and it works. You "probably" should have just made me wait on the extension if I didn't want to offer him as a MR (and that is part of the reason I added the verbage about why I was offering him. But normally I'd pull him out of the rotation at this point. I'll make sure he gets to a 50/50 SP/MR appearance point though, as at that point, I could have offered him as a MR under our current rules. Sorry for the confusion. Wasn't trying to make things difficult. |

He should start a few more times and ideally into next season too.
I'll come up with a hard rule with options in the off-season.
