Yankees send OF Whitey Herzog and OF Lou Johnson to the Cubs for SS Roy Smalley Jr. and MR Bob Kelly.

Yankees needed some more major-league depth at SS with the MI's struggling at the plate. Thanks for the quick easy deal Matt! Been years =)

Edit: Edited post to include Johnson for Kelly swap. Yankees needed depth at MR as well and Cubs needed some speeeeed. Good swap!
