Cubs trade SP-Warren Hacker to the Reds in exchange for SP-Charlie Rabe, OF-Bob Hazle and RP-Corky Valentine. We are very limited financially right now and after an effort to resign Hacker was made we decided that we would not be able to afford to bring him back hence the move for youth. We get two good young arms in the deal, both whom we think have potential to pitch in the bottom half of our rotation in the future and another young OF that we think has potential to be a starter with some development. Most importantly we added depth to our minor league system rather than just letting Hacker walk. Thanks Jeff.

Please put McLish back in to our starting rotation in place of Hacker and put Valentine in McLish's place in our bullpen. I'll worry about the minor leaguers after the sim.
