OK, so after a year+ of simming and looking at my family and work availability, I am finding:
* Thursday nights suck --- I usually have Board meetings, starting at 7:30, that sometimes last 30 minutes or 4 hours. If the meeting is cancelled or is adjourned early, I usually stay late anyway to catch up on permits, reports, minutes, etc.
* Saturday nights sucked because I would finally have time all day to do chores and work around the house and by the time I put the kid to bed, I'm exhausted --- or sometimes fell asleep altogether, as I am sure you noticed.
* Sunday nights are starting to suck because of, well the same reasons above, and I hate doing work Sunday nights anyway. I would rather spend time with the family.
So, with that said, I am proposing the following changes:
The rules currently state sims are run Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday evenings. I want to move them forward a day: Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday but run the Friday and Saturday sims the following mornings instead.
Therefore, this will be the new sim schedule starting next season:
* Monday at 8:00 PM
* Wednesday at 8:00 PM --- double-sim.
* Saturday at 8:00 AM
* Sunday at 8:00 AM --- reward camps run.

Can we have a rule in place that say if the Saturday or Sunday sim are ran later than noon eastern time the next day sim wont be run?

Sorry if I don't want to rush home on a Saturday night to do a line up cause Chris had prior commitments and couldn't post the Sim till evening. |

If a sim ends up being run late in the saturday evening. I for one am not rushing home or stop what I might be doing just to fire off an export for a point or send chris a pm before 8am for it. Sorry if some of this "old school mentality" haves lives and can get by without a new sim every other day in one of the 10 leagues we are in.  |

how about the Sunday sim will be in the evening if the Saturday morning sim isn't up by noon. That way it's motivation for me to get it done Saturday morning on time.

how about the Sunday sim will be in the evening if the Saturday morning sim isn't up by noon. That way it's motivation for me to get it done Saturday morning on time. thats a good solution. |

I'd still like to find a (now) Monday simmer, but the change to the schedule should help some. I may want to find a mod to log all of the reward camps, but since I do it once a week, it isn't so bad right now. |
