Cubs trade C-Atwell and OF-Sauer to the Cardinals in exchange for C- Dick Rand, 1B- Fred Marolewski and 2B-Earl Weaver. Was hoping to do something a little bigger and really was surprised I didn't get more interest in Sauer, but with deadline approaching I needed to make a move.
Please call Sawatski up and make him my C vs. righties. Call Bob Usher up from AAA and make him my starting RF. Thanks.
