Non-Waiver Trade Deadline Extended & Other Summary Comments

OK, so I read the entire 8/1 - 8/7 thread and I'll offer my comments below:
To answer Jeremy's questions:
1. Re: no notice - yes, I usually give a couple sims notice that the deadline is coming up --- just so busy I've been just logging on, running sim, posting, and moving on to something else.
2. Re: moving trade deadline back; post a poll!
3. Re: ammy draft - fairly certain Darryl is working on it; I sent the file over a few weeks ago.
Shale, I did not see Jeremy's post as going after me, just a legitimate question. And I do agree, July 31st is fairly universal in all sim leagues; after all, even the game will not allow me to run trades after July 31st.
I also agree, despite the above, that I should have reminded the league --- sometimes we drone on and forget the sim date.
With that said, I am willing, for this season only (unless a poll indicates otherwise), to extend the Non-Waiver Trade Deadline until SATURDAY MORNING (about a week).
Jeremy, to clarify; I have a database that generally creates ammy players, up to 2014 I think. This can only be done at file flip. To deal with that, I take a copy of the current file, run the season, flip it and post that file for (Matt A. and now) Darryl to look at the file and have at it. They usually have a month to do the work, which is, honestly, still not enough time since this is probably the most important job in the league and it is very time-consuming. When we hit file flip, I get a copy of their work and change each and every player in the main file to match their work. I make only a few modifications, here and there, to make sure there are a handful of 4.5+ star players and the scrubs have a fighting chance. I would say I leave 95% of their work as is because it is that good / accurate.
And yes, 75% of Shale's posts are silly =) And I, for one, find it ironic that you said someone else is "overthinking" something lol

Sorry, Jeremy, we may not know Oklahoma, but Jersey Shore is not representative of NE. We are embarrassed by that show. And that jailed housewife too.
Speaking of which, I'll be driving out to Nebraska in a couple weeks. ROAD TRIP.
I see Matt C. was eating popcorn. Kettle corn?

Matt C. is right, I usually stop at 7/31 to allow for trades; for some reason, I just kept on going with the 7/8/7/15 schedule not realizing how far along we were lol. See above for trade deadline extension, I think that will make everyone cool??

Which makes me want to do life-story articles for each GM to post.
