Sign-Ups!

Well, I guess it's time to fire her up. Now that we have our own place on the interwebs, let's formally go through the sign-up process. After posting your preferred team(s), please vote to help select when we will start: hoffbl.proboards.com/thread/3/season-start-1

Given that there will be 16 teams (whether we start in 1942, 1954, or any year in between) to start with, it is assumed that there will be some overlapping claims. As I said before (in the GABL forum), don't worry if you see someone else claim your favorite team because things may change as we get closer to our Inaugural Opening Day Sim later this fall. In the end, if there are multiple claims, I will decide who will get each team. This is a quasi-first-come-first-serve offer, but I will be selective given the limited number of teams.

Given your level of activity on BBSBL and excitement you expressed earlier, I'd probably give it to you over bigmark. No offense to bigmark!

But at this point, I am just looking to hear out what everyone prefers and I am expecting multiple claims for the Yankees, Red Sox, Dodgers, Cardinals, etc.

I understand sir; this signup process & season selection polls are going to take a couple weeks. If there are several claims for the Yankees, I might have to relinquish my claim for the better of the league and possibly run an expansion team.

I also would like all future signups to indicate their top 3 preferred teams and don't be afraid to say "#1 DODGERS, I MUST HAVE THEM! ZOMG! #2 Cardinals #3 Braves or whatever"

Again ..its up to the commish but all I really want is a team with a large market/fan base because I've never got to gm a ootp league with one before....but again as he said its up to him...its not a "I called them first" its his choice.....

First choice Cubs obviously, otherwise I'm open. The only other NL team I'd like would be the Dodgers. Otherwise any small market AL team.
