Cubs trade C-Katsuya Nomura to the Cardinals in exchange for SP-Bill Singer (AAA) and the Cardinals 2nd round pick in the upcoming draft.
Nomura has provided a big bat for us for a number of years but never really lived up to our expectations for him. I have some young catchers coming through the system and I think we can live with Naton as our starter until Blefary or Rodriguez are ready.
Chris, please make make Naton my starting C vs. righties, having him bat 7th, move Pep, Maz and Santo up one spot in the lineup. Make Naton my starting C vs. lefties, keeping him in the 8th spot of my lineup. Make Mack Jones my starting LF vs. lefties, put him 7th, move Maz, Pep and Santo up a spot in the lineup. Put Singer in AAA and make him my spot starter (16%). Call George Thomas up from AAA and slide everyone in my AAA lineup up one spot. My depth chart should have Naton as starter at C with Dotterer as backup (20%) vs. both righties and lefties. Mack Jones becomes starting LF vs. lefties on depth chart and you can make George Thomas his backup (25%).
That should cover it. Thanks to Matt for a relatively easy deal.

Agreed.
One more big bat for the next few years. I think I have an export in with holes in it for Nomura.
Thanks and good luck to Matt
