Cubs trade SP-Herb Score to the Twins in exchange for MR-Dave Giusti. We are about to have a logjam in our rotation with the return of Yoneda and Bolin and the trade for Larry Jackson so we needed to make a move. I signed Score two years ago going in to a season that I knew he'd miss the whole year with the idea that he could eat innings for me as my young guys developed. He's been a little bit of a disappointment this year but he's pitched better as of late. I like Giusti, he fits my ballpark, and I've had pretty good success with similar type relievers, such as Chittum, Bob Anderson and now Naranjo. Not a big return, but it's getting more and more difficult to trade established veterans in this league and I recently had tried waiving Score to drum up some interest with no bites.
Chris, please assign Giusti to AAA. Yoneda is eligible to come off of the disabled list in 2 days. Can you PLEASE stop the sim and put him in my 4th spot of my rotation after 2 days so that I don't have to needlessly call up a AAA arm? If not, PM me and I'll figure something else out I guess.

I agree. Thanks for the easy deal !
Please place Score in my rotation in the #3 slot and bump Tiant down to #4.
I have young RP practically coming out of my ears, so this deal made a lot of sense for me. I've been looking for a LHSP as well.
Good luck, Chicago !

I don't want to start a precedent of stopping sims to call up players. I'd be open to allowing it as a specific rule so everyone is aware of it, maybe even have a cost associated to it, I dunno.

If he were in a playoff race I think it would be more demanding, but at this point I'd say that it is something to explore in the offseason.
