So I'm curious. How about:
SP Walter Johnson (if possible, I realize that he played mostly in the early 1900s) OF Harmon Killebrew (amateur FA 1954)
I'm sure I'll add more over time.

lol Johnson is a no go.
Killebrew (1954): Value: 2 * (6.5 + 6.2 + 5.9 + 5.6 + 4.9) = 58.2 = 58 Ratings: A/A/F/B/B/A with E speed, D steals, D range

I know you're considering Killebrew, so I offer the following:
Killebrew Cost: 10 for reservation + 58 for player value + 3 for draft day jump = 71 FPR points
This would leave you with a balance of 129 FPR points. You would lose your third round pick.

Can you confirm that you will be reserving Harmon Killebrew?
You have until tomorrow evening to do so.
Thanks

Apparently the game isn't very good at drafting and gift wrapped a few points by only picking Killebrew 5th.

I tried to tell you that guys that the game doesn't rank them right. It's completely random, based on stars. All 5 stars will be ranked ahead of all 4.5 star guys (for the most part), but each time you look, or load the game, the order of those 5 star guys will change, I think. Not sure where Chris is looking to get his order.

Did you try it a couple of different times? Just to see if it always drafts the same?
I could have sworn I've seen the same file draft different players. Like, I was running the draft, and at work, and had to auto, and it gave me a certain player. Then I go home, have to re-download the file, make the picks up until that point again, and I re-auto'd that same draft choice, and it chose a different guy.
I might be misremembering, but I could have sworn that has happened. You are right though, not much else we can do. I'd say set the draft class, run your auto once, and that is the order. Not much else you can do unless you/we try to manually rank them somehow.

I actually tried that (doing it manually) and felt it should be Drysdale, Killebrew, O'Dell and so on, but I felt I was doing it arbitrarily because it "feels" right. I'm not the #1 expert in OOTP5, so who am I to judge? But yea, what you said in the last paragraph is 100% spot on as to how I am dealing with it lol. I think of it as a vote of confidence, despite the imperfect system. After a few seasons, the haves and have-nots will even out.

This will carry a cost of 10 for reservation + 78 for WAR5x2 + 8 for Draft Day Jump Points = 96 points.
You will forfeit your 2nd Round Pick.
