Currently considering the following (do point out any obvious Tigers I would have missed):
SP Morris SP McLain OF Horton IF Whitaker IF Trammell 1B Cabrera SP Verlander
Any indication on the talents of these guys would also help me decide.
Having read up on the history of the Tigers I would have liked adding the combo of Whitaker and Trammell. However the steep reservation cost per player, makes it obvious one should pick quality over quantity as that gives you more value for your FPR buck, and the extra cost for players too close to each other makes it so that picking players close together over other alternatives makes no sense and is just wasting points. So I'd rather pick either of them, I think.

Cabrera (so far): 7.6 - 7.3 - 7.2 - 6.5 - 5.8 = 34.4 * 2 = 68.8 => 69 (probably going to get higher)
Given the likelihood of high talents, I think the odds are high he will be drafted.
Signed as amateur free agent in 1999, so available then (age 16)?

Whitaker: 6.7 - 6.7 - 5.5 - 5.3 - 4.7 = 28.9 * 2 = 57.8 => 58
Trammell: 8.2 - 6.7 - 6.6 - 6.3 - 6.0 = 33.8 * 2 = 67.6 => 68
Though probably never going to happen.

The SP section:
McLain: 8.2 - 7.4 - 4.5 - 2.2 - 0.6 = 22.9 * 2 = 45.8 => 46 Morris: 5.8 - 5.1 - 5.1 - 4.9 - 4.3 = 25.2 * 2 = 50.4 => 50 Verlander: 8.4 - 7.8 - 5.6 - 4.6 - 4.3 = 30.7 * 2 = 61.4 => 61
Some interesting options there, even with Verlander subject to change, esp to see what will happen with McLain talent wise, though I prefer hitters over pitchers.

OF Horton: 5.4 - 3.5 - 2.9 - 2.7 - 2.3 = 16.8 * 2 = 33.6 => 34
Probably a solid pick if there's some leftover points, though the season pushes you to spend big on a few names, instead of spreading the wealth around. So probably won't have anything left.

Looks like Cabrera and someone else for now. Would need talents, pretty please, dear Mr Commish man, to help make up my mind.

When you said Horton, I said Who? The Tigers saw it fit to retire his number and as this rule is to get iconic players of a franchise on their team, I think he warranted discussion. If chosen, he probably indeed would not cost many jump points
