Rico Petrocelli (1961): Value: 2 * (10.0 + 5.0 + 4.8 + 4.1 + 3.8) = 55.4 = 55 Ratings: A/A/F/G/G/G with D speed, E steals, C range
Jim Rice (1971): Value: 2 * (7.6 + 6.4 + 5.6 + 5.5 + 5.2) = 60.6 = 61 Ratings: G/G/G/B/F/A with C speed, C steals, C range
Wade Boggs (1976): Value: 2 * (9.1 + 8.4 + 8.2 + 8.2 + 7.9) = 83.6 = 84 Ratings: B/B/A/F/G/B with D speed, E steals, C range
Pedro Martinez (1988): Value: 2 * (11.7 + 9.7 + 9.0 + 8.0 + 7.2) = 91.2 = 91 Ratings: B/G/B/G/B with B endurance
Anthony Ramon Garcia-Parra (1994): Value: 2 * (7.4 + 7.1 + 6.8 + 6.6 + 6.6) = 69.0 = 69 Ratings: B/B/G/G/F/G with C speed, B steals, C range

So there is no way to get Boggs/Pedro/Nomar?

Boggs: 10 + 84 Pedro: 10 + 91 Nomar: 10 + 69
That's 274 before draft day jumps. Definitely won't happen. Even just Boggs and Pedro might not happen, since that's 195 leaving you with 5 points to jump. You might be able to do Pedro and Nomar or Pedro and Rice.

I'm gonna go ahead and reserve Pedro and Nomar now.

Pedro: 10 + 91 Nomar: 10 + 69
That's 180 points; so you just have to make sure you're not jumping more than 10 spots in each draft, or 20 total. Otherwise you will have to trade up to a position where that's possible.

It will happen until there are rules against it.

Because I definitely meant going out of my way to lose. Of course I meant I don't plan on competing in that time frame. Why not go tell Spencer the rules when he said this a week ago.

Ill tank for my 80s guys. Wanna compete for awhile. This is a perfect window. Go bother him or don't come after me.

I'll go after anyone who claims he will if I see it. You're not the first and you're not the last.

It will happen until there are rules against it. Commish has the prerogative to act in the case of tanking. People already stating they will is thus something I will happily bring to the attention of the Commish.

Has any team ever won after tanking? Sorry, but no one or even two prospects is going to launch a team to the playoffs if the rest of their roster is bad enough to land the 1st pick.
Not that I'm not against tanking, just stating that it is a terrible strategy to try and build a winner.

I tanked in GABL and have struggled to get back into it. Almost all of my prospects from that mega pool in 2012? have crapped out. I wish I never did it.

Not that I'm not against tanking, just stating that it is a terrible strategy to try and build a winner. I've seen teams be wildly succesful in doing so but it takes more than 2 seasons obviously. And as with everything in OOTP5: you need to be lucky with your developments.

Red Sox reserve 3B Wade Boggs.
Cost will be 10 + (2 * (9.1 + 8.4 + 8.3 + 8.2 + 8.0) = 84) + Max 78 (26 * 3) = 172 points
Red Sox will forfeit all 3 picks in 1977.

Lol K was such a dickhead. I can still reserve someone worth less than 52 points after getting 25 back from Boggs right CSCommish?
