Welcome to 1969! We have realigned to 3 divisions and added four (4) expansion teams! Welcome to the league Kansas City Royals (Senator was pissed the A's left for Oakland, so I had to act quick and get a team there!), Seattle Pilots (And since I had to add teams early, Seattle was not ready to expand Sick's Stadium; Darryl is already complaining -- what are you going to move after one season??), Montreal Expos (Time to expand outside the border; I was impressed with Montreal had to offer, especially after the Expo 67 World's Fair -- hence, the Expos) and San Diego Padres (Named after the Spanish Franciscan friars who founded San Diego in 1769 -- why not?). The stadiums have been created (KC is re-using Municipal Stadium) and the players are on their respective teams. All logos, financials and player histories have been corrected.
File and pages are up. Please note that the amateur players have NOT been touched yet in this file. I will give this file and Darryl's 1969 file to Shale in a couple days. Shale, no rush, you have a couple weeks to do it since expansion will take a while. We still need owners for the Indians and Phillies. If push comes to shove, I will run the Phillies as my own and I will need an NL team to co-run the Indians for the time being.
We are a couple days away from locking the 15-man protection lists. You guys will have until Wednesday night at 8:00 PM to revise your 15-man protection lists. Up until that point, please revise and/or post any changes to your list. You may also make trades up until that point.
I plan on posting the Expansion League Files/Pages (consisting of all available players, one with all players still on their teams and another with all players in FA pool) on Thursday or Friday. I will post the draft order shortly.
Roll Call and File Flip Point threads are coming shortly.
