I have completed the purge of all of the exempt and protected players in a dummy file. A couple files and their associated pages are ready for the expansion teams to review. We will be doing 6 rounds, so this may take a week to do.
I am allowing picks to begin now, so Noah, you are on the clock and can pick at any time. Dave, Darryl, Noah and Zach ... when are you available at the same time so that we can do one full round? Each round will consist of 20 picks (1 player taken from each team), so you will be gaining 5 players per round.
After the first, second and third rounds, the existing teams may post an additional 3-man protection list. If none is posted, no additional players will be protected. These additional lists are due at 6 AM Eastern after each round. Shortly thereafter, I will process the purges and post updated files and pages so that we can proceed with the proceeding round, and so on and so forth.
Practically speaking, the existing teams can post the additional protection lists now and I will process them, IN SEQUENTIAL ORDER, with the assumption that the players are listed in order of preference. Doing it now allows you to not worry about getting an updated list in a very short time frame, but the risk is that you are potentially announcing to the expansion teams "please don't pick the top guy!" Up to you.
GOOD LUCK!!!
As I have posted in the main Expansion Draft thread, please see the following links below:
LEAGUE FILE with eligible players in a single pool: www.hoffbl.com/HOFFBL_POOL.lg.zip
LEAGUE FILE with eligible players still on teams: www.hoffbl.com/HOFFBL_EXP.lg.zip
AVAILABLE POOL (Click on players to see what team they are on): www.hoffbl.com/expansion/agents.html
TOP PROSPECTS (Includes Expansion Team prospects for sake of comparision): www.hoffbl.com/expansion/topprospects.html
LEAGUE REPORT (Shows players still on teams): www.hoffbl.com/expansion/
HELPFUL HINT: At the beginning of the round it will be easy to simply pick from the available "free agent" or "top prospects" pool. As picks are made, it will be important to check the player's page and see what team they are from --- you cannot pick from a team that has already lost a player in the round. Near the end of the round, it will be necessary to keep tabs of what existing teams have not lost a player and to check only those teams and research their ratings page.
