I agree with pretty much everything he said. Brilliant Ks on blyleven would be the only thing I differ in opinion on. People struck out way less then.

Randy Sterling pitched in 3 big league games. His ratings need to be knocked way down. Is the league standings page done?

Blyleven should be G/G/G/BR/G Gullett should be G/G/G/G/AVG Grimsley should be AVG/AVG/G/G/F Garland should be AVG/G/G/G/F Hand should be G/G/G/AVG/AVG Will make those changes tonight and repost.

He threw a ton of innings of course he walked more than average. I know, that's why I said longevity. I took a look into the numbers more (I was only copying over), and a boost might be necessary.

I did that to add another good pitcher, he was a top-5 overall pick but his actual ratings are (or should be) low, so he'll develop slowly. I've actually done that the past couple seasons. Surprised it took this long for someone to notice!

I feel like H/9 HR/9 and BB/9 are way more accurate at rating pitchers in OOTP than the static numbers.

Really, that's the ONLY way of doing it ... and to be more specific, it is based on 550 PA.

But then how did Richard end up with good Homers when he's clearly elite and deserving of a brilliant? I get borderline stuff but that's a big one.

But I will do the 6 edits. Happy to receive gripes and input into game before draft. Once draft starts it's too late.

Gura should be G/AVG/BR/G/F Stone should be G/G/G/AVG/AVG Capra should be G/G/G/AVG/AVG and really more of a RP with E duration as a starter Hassler should G/G/BR/AVG/AVG also a RP with E duration as a starter J. Hughes should be G/G/G/AVG/AVG Bird should be AVG/AVG/G/G/AVG and is a RP with E duration as a starter Bare should be AVG/G/G/G/F

I read one post Blyleven should better in walks because mentioning he pitched a lot of innings and he will walk more. Then a few posts later those same innings shouldn't factor into his strikeouts. He was in the middle of B and G for walks his multiple years among walks leaders was used to tip him to G. If Chris wants to tip him to brilliant fine.
Richards can be bumped to BR in HRs. For his walks. The guy isn't even in the top 1000 of all time for BB/9 Blyleven should be G/G/G/BR/G No other changes other than above Gullett should be G/G/G/G/AVG No he rates out to exactly what he is. Grimsley should be AVG/AVG/G/G/F He is right where he should be .270 opp BA is far closer to G than A. Garland should be AVG/G/G/G/F Same things as Grimsley avg closer to Good than A. Same for his strikeouts 550 ab he averages 61.8 Avg is 67 fair is 48. Hand should be G/G/G/AVG/AVG changes are fine here.

Gura should be G/AVG/BR/G/F He is dead on the mark for G in HRs. Walks could move to G but closer to A in strikeouts than F. Capra should be G/G/G/AVG/AVG and really more of a RP with E duration as a starter Hassler should G/G/BR/AVG/AVG also a RP with E duration as a starter No E duration when he was more starter than a reliever outside of 1 season guy was good for a CG every 3rd start.
Those are just the few I had the time to look over your suggestions on.
In the long run this league needs an overall balance. We got someone people who think anyone who had a good career should squeeze out the rarity of the an elite hall of fame guy. And we got others who think guys should be rated so the best they can achieve is their average season as opposed to their best seasons. Leading to the jumbled mess we have where G is average in this league.

Darryl. I've said a dozen times that's not what I'm looking for but you ignore me and write your own narrative. Fuck you.

If a G/G/G/B/B player is an elite hall of famer to you you need to quit doing drafts

You were doing so good break! -2 for comment.
Anyway, FYI, some of the changes being presented is actually undoing the rate-up I did to boost a couple players in the draft, so to be fair to Darryl, everyone should know that what Matt is actually suggesting to use what Darryl had originally recommended lol.
So if there is anyone to "fault" it would be me. However, I will make the final call. As I mentioned earlier today, I will make some of those changes and we'll move onto the draft. I'll post when the revised file is up.
