Welcome to 1970! It's a new decade and we're about to get funky. Although the Pilots did alright in Seattle, there is clearly no support for a new stadium, so we have authorized them to move to Milwaukee where they will become the Brewers, a nod to the brewing industry. The Brewers will occupy County Stadium, which is a nice upgrade to what they had in Sick's Stadium, ugh. Financials and player histories have been corrected. I will correct the team logos (again) later in the week.
File and pages are up. Please note that the amateur players have NOT been touched yet in this file. I will give this file and break's 1970 file to Shale. No expansion stuff to worry about this time around, thank goodness. I will post the draft order later today/tomorrow.
Roll Call and File Flip Point threads are coming shortly.

We win the World Series and Joey Jay wants to jerk us around in contract talks. Absurd.

It's going to be a quiet FA period in Bloomington. We don't have the money to sign anyone. Lol. We win the World Series and Joey Jay wants to jerk us around in contract talks. Absurd. He has won 3 world series in a row...he wants to get paid....wait hes been getting paid 20 mill a year the last 4 seasons...nope hes just a greedy old jerk. Guys like koufax/drysdale/gibson giving deals and he wants max each year. |

I would have gladly re-signed him, but "I'll probably test the market, but make me an offer" usually means "I don't want to come back. I want to get paid". Even if I could have paid him what he wanted, it might not have happened. |
