Hitters ( looks pretty good just a few changes I would make) Chris Chambliss - should be good in hits. Career .279 hitter much closer to the .287 good mark than the .262 average mark. Hiromitsu Kadota - secondary ratings are off. Not sure how he got great for leadership never won the title, or managed. Durable as well for a guy who battled diabetes though good chunk of his career. Darryl Porter- should be good in walks not brilliant. He averaged 82 in his career closer to the 78 good line and not the 90 brilliant line. Even factoring in his whole career he only hit the brilliant area twice in 17 years. Dave Parker - Should be an A rating in RF won 3 gold gloves there.
Pitchers ( lots of Brilliant in homers. I don't like the 550 abs for pitchers its over sells several stats. Put several changes below I have a slo-pitch game to get to so don't have time to check all the Brilliant in homers.) Rick Reuschel - should not be an A in duration, was never CG type guy C more in line with normal ratings given. Should be bumped up to A in D as he is a GG. Goose Goosage - I would change him to a closer from SP and take away his SP duration. He started 1 season in his 22 year career and is in the hall as a closer. John Denny - Not an A in duration. Made the league leaders once in his career for CG. C duration. More of an avg in walks as well as he is closer to the 78 of avg than the 90 fair. Doc Medich - Not an A in duration. B more accurate when you factor in he did rack up some CG early in his career. Doug Rau - Not an A in duration. C never on the CG leaders list. Bill Travers - Same as above 3. B would be accurate as he did have a few good season of CG but not a leader in the stat. Terry Forster - Wouldn't have given him a starter duration based on the minimal amount of time he started during his career. Should also be avg in walks whether you use (200 ip or 550 ab) as a guideline he comes in closer to the average of 66 than the good of 54. Butch Metzger - Not good in walks, is in the avg range at 69.7.
Adrian Devine - No starter duration he started 12 games of the 217 of his career. Also closer to good than brilliant in HR ratings, very close though. Jim Geddes - Wouldn't have rated him. Pitched 26 innings in his career. Would drop him back to the later round type guys ratings. Ralph Garcia - I wouldn't have even rated this guy given he had 15 innings pitched in his career. But he has good in doubles and brilliants in homers. Should be dropped back to one of the later round type guys. Larry Hardy - Over 13 homers per game should be good not Brilliant as he is 1 of the good range of 14.

Welp...glad I got 4 1sts in this draft. I dont know much about the class...will leave it to matt and darryl but do that many pitchers really have brilliant talents? Seems overkill for a league already saturated with too much pitching talent.

R. Reuschel should only be AVG in K's and should be BR in HR's. Agree on Gossage only being a closer. Technically AVG in BB's, which I think is fine, someone could bump the walks up to GOOD. Dave Parker should rate at all 3 OF positions and 1B. Madlock was a good defensive 3B but terrible at 2B, he's currenty rated A at each, should probably be D at 2B. Doug DeCinces was a very good defensive 3B, should at least be B defensively there.

Good comments, I will probably do them all. 3 points to Matt and Darryl.
Break, overall not bad; pleasantly surprised really. Claim 3/4 of your points as you said you didn't finish pitchers.
Shale, thank you despite long layover; to be honest, I was insanely busy, I don't think I logged in for 5 days.

I dumbed down a couple pitchers brilliant in homers, but I did decide to increase Madlock's Batting Average to Brilliant. Taking away his last couple seasons, he's a career .317 hitter.

I probably won't be as speedy at updating picks this week as I've been in the past. Busy with work, and can't "sit online" like I sometimes can.
Make sure you send a list if your time is up, even if the picks before you haven't been posted. I'll try to stay updated to within 3-4 picks at all times, so people aren't having to send in lists any longer than that.
If you will be around, and don't want to send a list, at the very list send me a message and a way to let you know your pick is due.
Thanks.

Chris, forgot to post this yesterday, but C Mike Ivie (drafted by CHA) needs to have his 3B fielding percentage fixed. It's showing 967.000 instead of .967.

Willing to trade some combination of Leron Lee (3.5*, 21 year old OF prospect), Piniella, James, Kranepool, or MAYBE Stanley for one of the next 10ish draft picks.

In and out of meetings all day today, so I may be slow in updating/auto-ing. Be patient. Send lists.
Thanks.

That might be the fastest round in the history of the league.
Never expected an auto pick today

I complained about this in GABL, so I'll do the same here. I think it is completely unfair that if you are here to pick during your appointed time, but the mods have not kept things up-to-date and you get auto'd at some arbitrary later time because you weren't here at the exact second the mod decides to auto everyone to get caught up. Yes, I know you can make a list to avoid it, but when half a round is auto'd at once it forces people to make lists 10-15 deep just to cover their butt. You might as well just auto the round if you aren't going to pay attention as a mod or loosen up the pick times. And for what purpose? It looks like we're going to get the draft done ahead of free agency, so what's the rush?
To solve this, I don't think mods should schedule draft times when they are not going to be able to actually moderate the draft. My two cents.

Almost a round and a half of the draft done in less than 24 hours....most of which were auto picks, right?

Almost every one of the round 3 autos were on automatic auto bc they missed their 1st and/or 2nd round pick. I only auto'd like two people today that simply didn't get a list in. CHA and SF I believe.
