Strange class, some weird stories for sure, not a lot of talent. Dan Thomas had a very short 3 or 4 year career with the Brewers. Joined some weird religious cult, decided he had to observe the literal sabbath and would no longer play Friday or Saturday nights, which of course pissed off the Brewers and then owner Bud Selig. They sent him to AAA despite the fact he was hitting, sometimes cleanup, because of it. He offered to cut his salary by 2/7, they still wouldn't call him up and he retired. Played some in the Indy leagues, at 29 was convicted or raping a 12 year old girl and hung himself in prison. Bostock is a more familiar story, had family in Gary, IND and would visit every time the Twins/Angels would play the White Sox in Chicago. Got shot riding in the back seat with a woman he had just met by her ex-husband who assumed there was an affair going on. He claimed he was trying to kill her, plead insanity, got out 21 months later and never served any more time, which led to changes in laws in Indiana to insanity pleas. Glenn Burke also in this class, the first openly gay baseball player, died of AIDS in the 80's.
Not a lot of talent at all, only 3 batters with a GOOD in hits, no Brilliants, only 4 with a GOOD in homers, no brilliants. There are some pretty good defenders in this class, and more speed than normal.
