As we finish out the first 20 years of the league, I wanted to shake things up for the next decade or 2. Some big changes I would like to roll out in the Reward Point system starting next season:
* PD Reverses will be more expensive for non-first round picks. The formula will become "Age - 10 + Reversal Cost" ... However, if you have a first round pick, the 10 becomes 20 if it is a first round pick not yet in the majors and 15 for the rest of his career. This means there's literally no change for your first round picks.
* No more limits on PD Reverses. Right now, there is a bank of 25 reversal points per player. No more. You can make as many reverses as you want, but they'll obviously cost you more as you do more.
* No more rewards for end of season leaders. These typically only reward the good/stacked teams.
* More points for off-season tasks. 10 points for Opening Day export, 5 points for first sim after All-Star Break export; 5 points for sending Spring Training File, 3 points for posting Ask Coaches / All 5's, 3 points for voting in any poll.
* Trade Deadline Frenzy Points. Taking a page from BBSBL, starting at the 6/1 sim, there will be a window where you can earn points for making trades. You will be given 10 points for the first trade, then 5 points thereafter, for any trade incorporating a 3.0 gold star or 4.0 blue star player. Teams who trade with each other more than once in each trade deadline cycle will only be given credit for the first trade.
* More points for some volunteer jobs.
I am willing to modify some of the above, but I would have to be convinced as I am pretty set on these changes as I have been considering them for a few months.
Only other things I am considering are lowering the costs of PD reversals for fielding drops and possibly allowing additional potential and secondary talent increases (or no limits at all) with each additional boost costing more than the previous boost, etc.
