Tom Hall of California wins his 3rd Player of the Week award for dominating American League's hitters the entire week. He was in a zone all week, compiling an ERA of 0.00 while going 2-0. He pitched two shutouts! Opposing players hit .199 against Tom this season. While posting an ERA of 2.11 he went 10-5 in 17 starts, fanning 84 and walking 27 hitters. Tom has pitched 4 shutouts and 9 complete games. He's 4th in the American League in ERA and 5th in wins! The National League Player of the Week award goes to Orlando Cepeda, New York (N)'s starting leftfielder. Orlando pounded opposing pitchers, hitting .524 with 2 HR and 6 RBI while slugging 1.000.

OAKLAND - Harry Parker had some fun again. REAL fun. Oakland hitters did not. Kansas City's right-hander fired a no-hitter in his 3rd shutout of the season. He now has 6 career shutouts in 133 games started. 'My catcher called a very good game. I have to give credit to him. He was the main reason I accomplished this feat.' Parker (9-6) fanned none and walked 4, throwing 91 pitches. Koichi Tabuchi provided Kansas City with the offense Parker needed as he finished 1 for 3, blasting a homerun, and collecting 2 RBI. Kansas City scored 2 runs on 8 hits.
